Today, we head off down the road for our month-long adventure driving north to Fairbanks and then across the north slope of Alaska on the Dalton Highway, also known as the haul road. We'll cross the Yukon River, Arctic Circle and the Brooks Range, hiking, camping, doing photography, meeting locals and visitors, and doing our best to stay out of the way of the big trucks and outrun the herds of mosquitoes we've been warned about...
