Okay, okay, walking the East River side is taking me a while. There are so many distractions, plus the heat is a factor for this northern, pale faced girl.
Today's walk between 96th Street and 59th Street along the waterfront is lively with walkers, runners and cyclists as well as lovers snuggling on park benches and fisherman casting for perch and striped bass.
The mini gardens are bursting with color and the view of Roosevelt Island compels me to take the tram across the waters, watch the sunset over midtown and then return again to Manhattan on the tram before heading home.
I love watching the sun set over the city and the skyline light up, reflecting in the dark waters...
